Spiritual Awakening

nagarjuna-conqueror-of-the-serpent-1925_jpg!xlSmallLately, I have been listening to people, especially spiritually oriented people, about how the world is awakening; how many people in the world are awakening to their destiny. It is very beautiful and hopeful for the future of our planet. Here are some of the first signs of a person awakening to their destiny:

The first sign that a person is awakening and starting their journey toward “home” is that they suddenly realize they are missing something very important in their life, but they don’t know what it is. They don’t know yet what “home” is, but still, they are very uncomfortable in this stage of consciousness and being. They start questioning and try to discover their destiny; a search that passes through many years or sometimes many incarnations.

We may go to “wrong addresses.” We may trap ourselves many times, thinking we are going North when actually we are going South. Then suddenly we reach a place that we never wanted to be. This is the so-called “fun” of the spiritual life. But eventually somebody or something suddenly appears, or someone who has been around us for a long time, tells us that the purpose of our life is in “that” direction…and in hearing those words your soul tells you that it is the right direction – and you say, “Let me follow.”

The second point that can awaken you or another is the time when you or that person goes through a painful experience, a defeat, a loss. Some crisis hits our life and we awaken. Before that your life was beautiful, everything was rosy, your table was full of everything, and you had lots of friends. Suddenly lightning hits you. Wow! Ultimately it is fantastic experience…You suddenly and oftentimes without warning, find out that all the things you were leaning on suddenly disappear. This is the moment you or another makes a great effort to contact the one you must trust.

He may ask you, “How long are you going to wander, how long are you going to be occupied with your craziness? Come to your senses. Take your progress in your hands. In that moment, through the voice in that Call, you sense your destination. Some of you I know have had these experiences.

Okay – so now the time of spiritual childhood has passed. Now different duties and responsibilities are going to be put on your shoulders. It is better for you if you prepare yourself for such a responsibility, task, and labor. This is the time many such people will find their soul group and study the Teaching, the Ageless Wisdom, while gradually, over time, preparing themselves; building bridges of consciousness to serve through the group labor.

It is you who is responsible for whatever you are now, whether you like who you are, or don’t like who you are. Whatever you sow that is what you are going to reap, right?

You live in certain ways and now you are reaping the seeds that you have sown in the past. You take the helm of your life in your hands. You say, “From now on I am going to live in a way that in future lives not only will I enjoy life but I will also do my sacred duty to the universe and to all kingdoms… You start living in such a way that not only do you become happy, beautiful, prosperous, but also you help others in the world to be happy, healthy and prosperous. This is so beautiful.

I do hope that once you read this blog entry and see yourself in these experiences or of someone close to you, you will share that experience with the rest of us. Sharing these experiences are affirming of their existence.

Love to you,

Joleen

  1. The blog and lecture today was impacting. I am so grateful that I have found my Teacher, the Teaching, and soul group. But this is only the beginning of the Path. I think of all the New Age groups and teachings that I passed over because they didn’t provide the substance of Fire. I didn’t have a name for it back then but now I realize that I was really searching for a Fiery Teaching.
After today’s lecture (on this subject), I thought about all the crutches that I had to let go of along the way, and the ones that I am using today that will eventually have to go at some point. I guess it is just human to try to find a sense of security in this illusory world. I try to replace the unreal with the Real as much as I know what Real is.
I feel so much gratitude for all those who are the Way Showers and for the Guiding Hand

  2. So beautiful! I remember in my teens beginning to search and having questions about the purpose of life. People would give me answers that did not register in my being and I would have even more questions. This led me to study astrology, reincarnation and hop from speaker to speaker and church to church in search of the answers I was needed. The most beautiful day was the day, someone handed me the Great Invocation and the “The Science of Becoming Oneself.” I literally read a few lines and I felt an indescribable joy like I had found “home.” From there I was led to my Teacher and my soul group. I am forever grateful for being shown my path and now it is my responsibility to continue to work on my lower nature and transform and serve.

  3. I remember helping my Mom as a teen to do laundry and feeling like there must be more than this mundane life. Growing up Catholic, I always felt close to Jesus and asked questions of my parents about the teachings of Jesus. Mainly I would wonder why people went to church but didn’t seem to really follow the message. I remember being so inspired by “Brother Sun, Sister Moon,” the movie about St. Francis when I was a teen in Catholic “Sunday School.” Here was an example of someone living Christ’s teachings. Always I had the impulse “How can I help people?” Then in college I took a comparative religion class, experienced a “zen walk” and was introduced to the inner spiritual world, to eastern spiritual practices. At about 23 I started my spiritual search in earnest visiting different spiritual centers. I feel so grateful that I met my spiritual teacher when I was 28 and have the beauty, clarity and power of this path. When I went through a crisis of divorce at 33 I needed to reach deep and felt a contact with my Solar Angel. The most beautiful moments of my life have been experiences of Soul contact and following the guidance of my Soul. The most profound moment was the experience of a higher being (I believe it was my Master) saying “Come to Me” during a group meditation. Then ( and now) it is a matter of doing it, of purification and preparation to render greater service.

  4. At 37 I had just gotten a divorce and was working at my first job. Prior to that, and while still married, I had gotten very interested in Astrology taking classes, trying my ‘hand’ at experimenting with charts and learning the symbols and interpretations.

One day after my divorce, at my first job and while on my lunch hour I was taking a walk. I went into this old used book store and walked right to the back where there were many boxes of used books. Walking over to this one box first I dug down into the bottom and pulled out this little ‘blue’ book called PONDER ON THIS by Alice A. Bailey. I was so enthralled with all of the information, I read it constantly. It made perfect sense and answered so many questions I had about the universe and Spirituality. I had known my Spiritual Teacher for years prior to being ‘led’ to the above book, not realizing at the time that she was indeed my Teacher. One book led to another by different authors, classes were offered by my Teacher and soon our ‘soul’ group was formed. That was over 40 years ago and my gratitude goes so deep for my Teacher, everything that has been taught through service, the offered classes, lectures, Full Moon Meditations and above all else ‘LOVE’.

  5. I was trying to think of the very beginning of my search, beyond my mundane life. I was fresh out of Canada to Boston and sent to Catholic school, sixth grade, where I had my first religious classes with nuns as teachers. I always loved the bible from church but now I wanted a more personal connection. Every time I asked the nun a question, she would not know the answer and replied, “that is one of the mysteries.” After third question I stopped asking.
    But the seed was planted.
After graduation I married my only boyfriend, and learned what “hell on earth” was but following that lesson I had the joy and gratitude of learning about karma and reincarnation. My answers to the questions for the nun. I then learned to appreciate freedom and taught myself meditation, felt the urge to move to Florida. Shortly after that met Anthony. During this time and having my three kids, I continued reading anything I could find on karma and reincarnation, and starting my day with meditation. One day, after my meditation, I opened my book and I read a paragraph and one sentence jumped out of the book, becoming an inch larger than the rest. It said, “when the student is ready, the teacher will come.” I blinked and it was gone, but three days later I met my teacher. She said, “According to your chart you know about karma and reincarnation!” And I proudly replied, “Yes, I know everything about karma and reincarnation!” Then she asked me if I had ever read or heard about Alice Bailey, Helena Blavatsky or Helena Roerich. I said, “no.” And so began the real knowledge, which will take many lives I’m sure! But I’m so grateful that I was deserving of my teacher and the Ageless Wisdom in this lifetime that I feel I can conquer anything because I know it’s all part of the process of transformation. Clean up and move forward!
