This blog was created to discuss Transformation and all that that means. I believe I have accomplished that, especially if you read through the various blog articles and see how they are all woven together. Here is another article focused on the subject.

If the soul is to be receptive to higher energies for transformation we must undergo a purification process, a process which will create a sphere of readiness for our human soul to further unfold and evolve.

If we have not created an atmosphere of readiness in which the soul can assimilate higher energies, it falls into inertia. If the soul finds itself in inertia this means it has stopped at a certain point in its evolution, its journey toward the Father’s Home, toward Infinity; it is refusing to move ahead.

Inertia is an interesting idea. When a person typically considers the state of inertia, he thinks of inaction. However, this in reality is not so. To be in a state of inertia means your actions, your activities whether physical, emotional or mental are lacking in Spirit. We can be chasing our tails day after day, thinking that we are on the path of Transformation when actually we are only spreading ourselves outwardly; a kind of horizontal expansion. However, this does not remove the condition of inertia. Inertia can only be removed through an inner transformation, through self-actualization. It is for this reason we must never become satisfied with a level of achievement.

Once we feel this is “it,” even if we believe “it” is of a very high level of consciousness; we must not cease our striving vertically. In fact we are told that it is even more dangerous to fall into inertia when one is at a higher level of consciousness because the consequences are longer lasting.

We cannot become an individuality without breaking free from the lower nature, free from the chains of the three lower vehicles of the personality nature. Once the soul undergoes purification and transformation, making itself receptive to higher energies, it is then he quickly passes through the next higher initiation, infusing himself with the light of his Inner Guide, functioning within the realm of the Spiritual Triad. It is at this stage of transformation the human soul has advanced to a point of becoming an individual; it is an awakened, self-conscious, self-determined being; free from the trials and errors of pain and suffering.

The aura is a sphere around our body, which actually has eight parts, or eight spheres. It is these 8 spheres, which put us in contact with one another as well as with Cosmos. Buddha, Christ, Moses and other Great Ones had well developed auras; auras which put their consciousness in contact with Great and Long-lasting Ideas. The aura is formed by the emanations radiating out of our vehicles.

The aura of an average person is composed of the radiation of his etheric, physical, astral and lower mental bodies. According to the vibration and frequency of your vehicles certain colors come into existence. The aura of Great Ones, of course, are of a higher frequency and colors, which we can barely perceive until our eyes evolve.

The aura of an average person extends from one to three feet. The aura of a Master extends from 9 – 30 feet; and is made of indigo, gold and lemon-red.

The aura of the aspirant, one who has experienced a certain degree of spiritual development extends from 3 – 6 feet.

The aura of a disciple extends from 6 – 9 feet.

It is interesting to realize that in each stage of development of the aura, or the consciousness of the individual, he carries the previous colors into the next stage. For example:

AVERAGE INDIVIDUAL: the auric colors of an average  person are: pale green, pale yellow and silvery blue mixed with grey.

ASPIRANT: The aura of the aspirant is dominate with the colors of: blue, green, orange, yellow and violet, but also the colors which previously were dominant in his aura.

DISCIPLE: The colors of the disciple’s aura are: red-violet, red, and true orange-yellow.

The eight spheres of the aura are made of the eight planes of consciousness from the physical plane of consciousness, up to the Divine plane.

Each level of consciousness is made from the substance of that particular plane, which once we build that body of consciousness in our own mechanism, it puts us in contact with the substance of that plane. Each plane has it’s representative in our aura, called a permanent atom.

The perm atom of each plane oozes out a vapor-like substance which builds the astral and mental bodies. It is the substance in our aura, and the radiation from the corresponding plane and substance, which feeds our own aura, and vice-versa.

What we do in our own life affects the substance of the corresponding plane. Once we have purified our nature and have completely constructed the vehicle, for example, the emotional body, then our aura becomes magnetized with the substance of the emotional or astral plane of consciousness.

It is wonderful to realize once a person has constructed a particular body of consciousness it then becomes a vehicle for the soul to use for travel.

In the Teaching, we are told that only 30 percent of humanity has constructed it’s astral/emotional body. This would mean then, that only 30 percent of humanity has 3 spheres in their sense organ (aura) which is made of:

• Gold-violet (etheric body)
• Green (physical body)
• Silvery-blue mixed with colors of various emotions (astral/emotional body)

THE NEW MOON OF GEMINI

The most recent new moon (Gemini) took place June 16th, which created the stage leading up to this upcoming full moon, the full moon of Cancer. Normally I only discuss the energies and influences of the full moon, but because of the intensity of this new moon, I want to write a little about it.

This Gemini New Moon was still in the grey area of retrograde Mercury, retrograde Mercury lasting approximately three weeks plus the week of approaching and the week it is waning. Mercury is the powerhouse behind Gemini—let’s say its “influencing hand.” During this time, there are broken promises, broken contracts, misunderstood communications and more.

Mercury rules the nervous system. It rules the nerves and channels of the body, the parts that connect to other parts. Any imbalance with Mercury can cause some difficult problems. You will notice in the above chart that there are four planets in Gemini, including Mercury and Mars. Mercury, the main theme of this planetary stellium, is forming a square to Neptune. So where Mercury is a  neutral planet, the fact that there are four planets in Gemini with the ruling planet Mercury in square to Neptune fired up by Mars, you have a pattern that can give some extraordinary experiences, from failed contracts, physical body ailments, mental confusion to higher world, higher plane experiences. So either way, whether your birth chart is heavily influenced by Mercury or Neptune, this new moon (June 16 to the full moon on July 1) will be one “for the books.”

Not to leave Neptune in such a negative way, in its most positive sense, it sees the more advanced Neptunian-type person as sympathetic, compassionate, gentle, sensitive, responsive, selfless, and sacrificing. But whether you are a Mercury or a Neptune person, we will all come under the heavy influences of this new moon chart up through the full moon of Cancer.

In this full moon chart, you will see that Mercury remains in Gemini, and while Mars has moved into the sign of Cancer in conjunction with the Sun, nonetheless, it continues it fiery energies in this conjunction while in opposition to the moon. Flared tempers and emotions and nerves can still be a problem in some people’s lives, so the test is to be non-reactive and instead use the energy at its higher octave, which means in a positive, creative manner. The Moon can either be nurturing and submissive or oversensitive and emotional. Mars can be active and dynamic or in its negative influence impatient, aggressive, arrogant and combative. If you have a strong Aries or Cancer or Capricorn influence in your chart (Sun, Moon, Rising Sign, or two or more planets in Aries or Cancer or Capricorn, you will need to observe yourself to see if the Moon/opposition Mars energy is evoking reaction and creating an imbalance in your life. • July 1 – Conjunction of Venus and Jupiter. A spectacular conjunction of Venus and Jupiter will be visible in the evening sky. The two bright planets will be extremely close, appearing only 0.3 degrees apart. Look for this impressive pairing in the western sky just after sunset.
• July 1, 2 ­– Full Moon of Cancer (Sun in Cancer and the Moon in Capricorn). The Moon will be located on the opposite side of the Earth as the Sun and its face will be will be fully illuminated. This phase occurs at 02:19 UTC. This full moon was known by early Native American tribes as the Full Buck Moon because the male buck deer would begin to grow their new antlers at this time of year. This moon has also been known as the Full Thunder Moon and the Full Hay Moon.

• July 28, 29 – Delta Aquarids Meteor Shower. The Delta Aquarids is an average shower that can produce up to 20 meteors per hour at its peak. It is produced by debris left behind by comets Marsden and Kracht. The shower runs annually from July 12 to August 23. It peaks this year on the night of July 28 and morning of July 29. We have spirit and we have matter. The Law of Spirit is inclusive. The Law of Matter is isolation. I think that a person cannot really understand this law, feel this Law of Spirit, feel and understand inclusiveness until they shall, with all their heart, establish a deep understanding of the Teaching of Life.

To engage in a deep understanding of the Teaching of Life we must be standing within the fountain of the outpouring Teachings of the Great Ones. Without drinking the water of Life, the Ageless Wisdom Teachings, many default to living a life of confusion, delusion, and illusion; of unreality.

To achieve inclusiveness, it is not a method of imposition or forcing, but experiencing a transformation of the aspects of life, the virtues and values that we choose. As we go through a process of transformation, of spiritual change, we tend increasingly toward inclusiveness, and adapt the nature of our daily life, to the process of inclusiveness. To do this, we must feel the Law of Spirit. Once we feel the Law of Spirit we begin to live a life of inclusiveness. I know these are a lot of words but once you begin to touch and feel and yes, even taste what it is like to experience inclusiveness – the joy of living the Law of Spirit will touch your heart.

The Teachings of the Great Ones tell us that to respond to the Law of Spirit we must develop:

-discrimination

-Goal fitness

-Adaptation

-Unfoldment

-Readiness

-Cooperation

-Intuition

-Renouncement of ego

Then to develop inclusiveness and to evoke a response in our heart to the Law of Spirit, there are certain values we must strive to put into practice. Let me share this list again. Discrimination, Goal fitness, Adaptation, Unfoldment, Readiness, Cooperation, Intuition, and Renouncement of ego.

These eight values are actually road signs in the process of transformation of changing yourself from being a “materialist” to waking up and hearing the beautiful call of your Spirit.

Isolation and separatism eventually create so much pain and suffering that the spirit escapes and discovers the way to inclusiveness.

Leadership is based on the Law of Inclusiveness. A leader tries to include and be included in something Higher. This powerful statement needs some pondering. Inclusiveness means to attract those elements, those values, that will help your growth and include you in a higher goal.

In true inclusiveness you let people and elements nourish themselves and nourish you, making themselves a part of you and making yourself a part of them. Do you see? This is the Law of Spirit. This is feeling the Call of Spirit. By living these eight values you are responding to the Call of Spirit and living within the Rays of the Great Ones.

An inclusive person searches for the diamonds of virtues and values and repulses all that are based on self-interest. Self-interest causes disintegration within any formation.

We must exclude all that is false, cosmetic, pretentious and selfish, to find the way leading to inclusiveness.

Helena Roerich and her life portrays such an image. There are others, such as the Mother Mary, Isis, and Maya (the Mother of Buddha), but in this writing, our focus is upon the Mother of Agni Yoga, Helena Roerich.

Agni Yoga teaches that the Mother of Agni Yoga and the Mother of the World are two concepts, which emphasize the Feminine Principle as Divine Motherhood.

How “Helena Roerich, whose ceaseless striving and selfless service through many incarnations brought her to that stage of evolution which made her a living example of what woman many achieve, under Hierarchical Guidance.”[2]

In AUM verse 544 it says: “It is not at all easy to be the Mother of Agni Yoga. Only in the course of time will people appreciate all the selflessness which is indispensable for proclaiming the fiery might.”

Helena Roerich is the Mother of Agni Yoga. Who is an Agni yogi?

“The Agni Yogi unburdens space and absorbs all emanation. [A person] who is a mighty warrior, battling with darkness, and [one who] is that power which the dark pack is endeavoring to destroy.”[3] It is to these sacrificial one’s the symbol and life of the World Mother serves as their protector.

Helena Roerich wrote in 1935, “How beautiful is the Image of the Mother of the World! So much beauty, self-renunciation and tragedy is in this majestic Image! Aspire in your heart to the Highest, and joy and exultation will enter your soul.” [4]

On the 18^th of June, 1935 Helena Roerich wrote: “The Mother of the World is at the head of the Great Hierarchy of Light of our planet…Behind each symbol stands a High Individuality, and each symbol covers a great reality. Each Great Individuality has its deputies, or personifiers, who are nearest to its Ray, and sometimes one of these Great Individualities personally incarnates – hence the concept of the Avatar.”[5]

In another letter the revered Mother answers a question from one of her students who asked her about the “Khatak of the Mother of the World.” She answer that the Khatak is the sacred silk scarf which Mongolians and Tibetans present to all spiritual representatives and all especially revered persons, as a sign of respect.”[6] There is a most beautiful painting by Nicholas Roerich in which the Khatak is displayed with the Mother of the World where she is using the sacred scarf as a bridge to help the seeker to climb toward greater heights.

In another letter Helena Roerich talks about the Goddess Dukkar. She says, “the great time predicted long ago has come. Do you not feel it in all the tension of cosmic and human explosions? All the crust of the earth is aquiver, and a great change is approaching. This time it is not the comparatively harmless tail of a comet but our own emanations which, by their discord with the approaching higher fiery energies, may evoke – or rather will evoke – an unexpected change. It is good during such perturbations to be on the solid indicated rock, under the Umbrella of Dukkar. Our tasks will all have room under this cover.”[7]

“ ‘ Dukkar’ the many-eyed and many-armed, is a Tibetan Divinity of the Feminine Element. She is an equivalent of the Hindu Kali and Lakshmi, the symbol of the Mother of the World. …”[8]

In 1935 Helena Roerich wrote: “the Star of the Mother of the World is the planet Venus. In 1924 this planet for a short time came unusually near to the Earth. Its rays were poured on Earth, and this created many new powerful and sacred combinations which will yield great results. Many feminine movements were kindled by these powerful rays.”[9]

Agni Yoga is a Teaching that educates the soul and gives us direction so we can graduate from this earth school into graduate school: the higher worlds.

Throughout the Agni Yoga Teaching you will find many instructions on how to graduate with honors. The keynote for graduation into the Supermundane life is Self-perfectment. Self-perfectment is light. The opposite of Self-perfectment is “Self-Indulgence.” Self-Indulgence is darkness; Self-perfectment is Light. Man either creates or destroys.

We have one of two life-direction choices. One choice leads to a dead end—to self-indulgence. M. M. says, A person can build one’s life in such a way that each day will, as it were, be the end.[1]

The second choice—which is the choice of Self-perfectment—is of course the choice of preference where a person can illumine his life in such a way that each hour will be a beginning. [2]

This instruction in Agni Yoga reminds me of the question: “Is the glass half full or half empty?” The first choice of self-indulgence is to build one’s life where he sees the glass as half empty; the second choice is to live life in such a way that the glass is half full. You either approach your life destructively and negatively: or creatively and constructively.

As you read the books of Agni Yoga, you discover that at the heart of this Teaching there is an emphasis upon fire and upon evolution. Fire is about the creative life; evolution is about Infinity.

Fire is Life. The Fire of Space is the source of all life in any form. The ancient writings instruct, “Fire is Creative.” Creative Fire permeates all Space. In some Teachings the Creative Fire is called Kriyashakti: the Life-giving divine Fire, in all forms of life.

When we draw from the Life-giving Fire in the Universe, we direct our consciousness to the path of Self-Perfectment. It is the Flame in our heart, which links us with the Creative Fire in Space, with the Heart of the Universe. This same Creative Fire is also located within our own nature, “as above so below.”

We each have a Divine Spark, a seed of life. The Fiery Seed of Life is our spirit. It is indestructible because it is sacred. This is a very important point to remember. Your spirit is sacred and as such is indestructible. However the radiation of the fiery seed changes, depending on the growth of our consciousness, the expansion of our consciousness. The energy around our fiery seed is consciousness.

This fiery seed is sometimes called the human soul. The human soul has a purpose, which is perfectment. It is through Self-perfectment—the fiery seed will evolve. The purpose of each incarnation is to evolve on the path of Self-perfectment.

We must each evolve, progress, and advance. As our consciousness expands, our fiery seed will evolve and strive toward infinity. The human soul, plus the vehicle with which it is identified, becomes the command post from which the soul operates. It is this identification that creates the tests and traps for the evolving human soul. It is from this command post that we construct our glamors, desires, illusions and vanities, building our life in such a way that each day will, as it were, be the end. After the soul constructs a glamor, a habit, a vanity—it believes that is who he is. It says, “I am that.” He becomes the glamor, he becomes the illusion, he becomes the vanity or the habit or prejudice or this and that.

You may recall speaking to someone, teaching someone, listening to a lecture. Such an experience will give you deep joy.

Striving toward Self-perfectment, creating an illumined environment for your soul to evolve, making a contact with the Hierarchy and the Teacher will give you a fiery inspiration to dedicate yourself in service to all you meet. “Let the greatest among you be the servant to all,” said Christ.

When we study Agni Yoga, we study life, beauty, culture and creativity. We study how to improve on the life, how to heal, how to love, how to build right human relations. Some religious and spiritual Teachings prepare you for death, but they don’t teach you how to “live.” Agni Yoga believes in the continuity of life, in the continuing life of the spirit. It teaches us how to release the spirit that is enslaved in its past.

We are striving to the future, building a new consciousness, building new viewpoints, building new bodies in which to strive into the future to the Supermundane Worlds.

The Agni Yoga Teaching is the teaching of life applied to each necessity. It provides a solution to the daily problems. It does not teach Self-Indulgence; it inspires us toward Self-Perfectment.

Many of us seem to be surrounded these days with a lot of pain and suffering: the pain and suffering of friends, families, cities and countries, and even ourselves—so much so that it can be overwhelming. How to keep our sanity, our faith and hope? By keeping our consciousness in the stream of the Teaching, especially the Teachings of Agni Yoga. The Teaching helps us build the inner life, starting with meditation and then study, and finally, but not lastly, service.

From Agni Yoga, a verse, reads: I speak of alien bridges and gates. On the way, alien bridges are encountered. One must cross them hurriedly, not looking downward, having but one wish—to reach quickly the other side. Also, do not pause before foreign gates, but demand the right of way without disturbing your calmness, because your way is determined. One must with pure thoughts close one’s pores to bad air. But when times are difficult repeat: “Nevertheless, I am going into a Garden of Beauty. I fear not the predestined gates. Why is the shield above me? To safeguard me. If new dams arise I shall cross them, because I do not fear!”[1]

It is important that we do not become mired down in the trials and tribulations of today’s problems, mired down in fear and hopelessness, but to always look forward, realizing that we have the shield of protection of the Master as we forge ahead, no matter what. As the Great One says, “When times are difficult repeat: ‘Nevertheless, I am going into a Garden of Beauty. I fear not the predestined gates.’”

Meditation is the way into the Garden of Beauty. Meditation is actually very simple. To do it, you simply sit relaxed in your private room, on a riverbank, under a tree, or any place you like, and ponder certain words. Find a short passage from the Teachings or even a scripture which has deep meaning for you, and think about these words for five or ten minutes. This is meditation. When you find yourself falling into the depths of despair and fear, stop yourself, select some words from the Teachings, and for the next five or ten minutes you are going to be totally concentrated on those words. You will find yourself in a completely different space at the end of those ten minutes; a space of hope and restoration.

When you meditate, you make a contact with the Almighty Presence in the universe and you receive three charges of energy. The first charge of energy is Light. You charge yourself with more light, and in that light you see your problems and difficulties more clearly and you see better how to deal with them. The second charge of energy is love, where you absorb a tremendous amount of love energy flowing into you and into your inner life. Now you have the shield of light and love. You may have the experience that you are in God. You can absorb His light and love and use it to help your relations with others. The third charge of energy is power. As you spend ten or fifteen minutes meditating on your chosen words, you will have accumulated the energy to shine your beauty, no matter what happens to you. Light, love, and power is now part of your inner life. All day people may beat you down, hurt you, disrespect you, belittle you, and many other different attacks, but meditation gives you the strength and energy to withstand these attacks and stand in your beauty.

When you are serving, you have worth.

The first principle is labor without limit.

The second principle of labor is acceptance of tasks without rejection.

A great spiritual teacher shared a story. He said there was a young man that was working in his office. The young man was telling others, “I worked all day. The teacher did not even say thank you. You know, three years I was there. He did not give me one gift.” Can you understand that? All my labor is wasted.” The teacher said, “Really? How pitiful you are to go through this trash in your mind, or engage yourself in a labor and two days later escape! How pitiful. What are you doing? You are really demonstrating where you are, and the Universe is not going to trust you with higher labors. You are not trustworthy. You cannot do it.” He was a no-nonsense Teacher who labored until the last month of his life.

These are two things that are very important to know – labor without limit and acceptance of tasks without rejection; without negative emotions, complaints, gossip, and so on.

If the person leaves and cannot finish it, do it yourself. These are the principles that we are going to digest in our consciousness if we are going to really understand what the labor is.

A modern Master described how the Buddha had encouraged his monks by sharing that those who practiced diligently would surely be enlightened in seven days or, if not in seven days, then in seven months or seven years. A young American monk heard this and asked if it was still true. The master promised that if the young monk was continuously mindful without break for only seven days, he would be enlightened.

Excitedly the young monk started his seven days, only to be lost in forgetfulness ten minutes later. Coming back to himself, he again started his seven days, only to become lost once more in mindless thought – perhaps about what he would do after his enlightenment. Again and again he began his seven days, and again and again he lost his continuity of mindfulness. A week later, he was not enlightened but he had become very much aware of his habitual fantasies and wandering of mind – a most instructive way to begin his practice on the Path to real awakening.

And once we understand the value of labor we understand that all our labor, all our sweat and tears, all of our sacrifices – are not done for ourselves – but in service to the Lord.

If when you engage in easy or difficult labors you are thinking what kind of gifts of gratitude you are going to receive – you are lost.

When I was growing up and investing myself in all those many hours of labor – no one told me how special or unique I was – it was expected of me. And because it was expected of me – such endless labor taught me about the Path to illumination – that the Path to Illumination is an endless Path.. The Path to illumination bypasses the Path to Egotism. It saves you from many incarnations of suffering.

Today. Saturday, we are celebrating the energies of the full Moon of Aries, which occurred at 5:07 AM, Mountain Time, but we are still well within the time frame of it’s powerful influences.

We are also celebrating Easter tomorrow, Sunday. Easter is always established by the date of the full moon of Aries.

We know that we not yet perfect, but most of us here at some point in the life of the soul made a decision to travel the path of initiation – which is the path of progressive and expanded consciousness; a most difficult but spiritually rewarding experience for the soul; rewarding, because it places us on the lighting speed evolutionary path, giving our soul an opportunity to better serve our family, group, nation and humanity. It also reduces the number of superfluous incarnations which most experience and thus makes each life as you are living 3 -4 life times at once. In order to do this, we need to strive; to surpass our present level of achievement from year to year, from one life to the next.

Disciples on this path are those who will make use of these energies as a means to graduate to the next and the next levels of consciousness until it puts them in conscious contact with their Solar Angel, the Spiritual Triad, their Ashram and Master and different stations of the Cosmic Magnet. With each progressive stage the disciple-initiate will be able to surpass his or her present level of consciousness and penetrate into the deeper mysteries of Life.

Life is given to us so that we can strive toward perfection. Imagine knowing that! This is what life is about.

We can look at ourselves today and ask “Where do I need to strive: Physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually?” What is the most essential at this time in my life by which to strive. How can I find the most essential and strive in the boat of the most essential order to make myself more beautiful; physically beautiful? Emotionally beautiful? Mentally beautiful?

Discriminating so you can examine your inner and higher wills in such a way that you can spiritually advance. This is, actually, a very advanced stage of consciousness. With observation and spiritual discernment you soon learn how to detach from these inner and outer influences; the ancient past of the personality life.

Spiritual striving during each full moon, especially the three high spiritual festivals of Aries, Taurus and Gemini we learn how to be obedient to our Higher Self, the Teacher and the Master. It is through this obedience our lives become more fulfilling and free.
