Kenneth Archer and Millicent Hodson

Kenneth Archer and Millicent Hodson are a design and dance duo based in London. They reconstruct lost 20th century ballets and create new ones. Kenneth is an art historian and scenic consultant. Millicent is a dance historian, choreographer and graphic artist. Their first and most important work was the reconstruction of the 1913 ballet, “The Rite of Spring”(Stravinsky, Roerich and Nijinsky) which they staged with the Joffrey Ballet in Los Angeles and New York in 1987 which toured around the United States and internationally. They have since staged it with ballet companies and opera houses on four continents.

Since the late 1970’s they have taken an active interest in the work and creativity of the Roerich family and have traveled extensively to research this subject.
