WMEA Focus Groups
The purpose of the three Focus Groups is threefold:
Research, Study and Discussion
Each Focus Group includes a focalizer who presents suggested ideas for research and study from within the Teachings—ideas and spiritual concepts from within the writings of Agni Yoga that can be applied and put into practice. These are ideas that will strengthen one’s life, one’s life direction, and inspire one’s life.
At other times, participants in the Focus Group will suggest topics and ideas that the group agrees to study and research. These ideas are explored throughout the year and shared with one another.
Some of the Focus Groups have projects throughout the year that find them meeting on a weekly or monthly basis, which they then bring to the conference week for sharing either with their Focus Group or with those attending the whole of the Conference.
All three Focus Groups have an opportunity to remain in touch throughout the Conference year through Zoom meetings or groups.io.
The Agni Yoga Focus Group
Helena Roerich continued throughout her leadership to stress the need of applying Agni Yoga in life. This is the purpose of this Focus Group—to develop insights on how to apply Agni Yoga in life, not just to develop an understanding of the books but to find ways of making our lives reflect the tapestry of the Agni Yoga Teachings. As we come together each year during the Conference, and throughout the year, it will be our goal to share our experiences and understandings of how practicing Living Ethics broadens a person’s consciousness.
For inspiration, we have found that researching the lives of the original members, who eventually formed the Agni Yoga Society, as well as the whole Roerich family has been extremely valuable and encouraging as we move into the next one hundred years of experiencing the path of Agni Yoga.
This year’s 2022 Agni Yoga conference will find the Focus Group sharing and discussing some of the content from the journals of Helena Roerich, the High Path and how to use the anthology An Agni Yoga Companion.
The Death and Transition Focus Group
Death has been present on our planet from the very night of itself; we have died many, many times. Forms have come and gone; it is a part of the natural rhythm of our planet. It is as natural and normal as breathing. It is essentially a matter of consciousness; we are conscious one moment on the physical plane, and a moment later we have withdrawn onto another plane.
The members of this focus group will share what they have learned from the Teaching, and from family, friends, and coworkers about entering the Higher Worlds after one’s transition. The Agni Yoga Teachings say, “We do not die, but change.” Fiery World II, 369.
Why does one need to learn about death and transition? Because we need to change our consciousness from a common, or exoteric, understanding of death and fear of the end of life to a spiritual understanding—from the separation of the body, family, friends, and the life built here on earth to the reuniting of life in the Higher Worlds. We must change our thinking to see that the process of daily sleep and the process of dying are almost identical but with one difference, that our life thread brings us back to face another day of striving. Therefore, the wisdom of death takes our awareness from the old worn-out body to a body of light, a body that returns home for rest while awaiting the next great adventure in the world—reincarnation.
The Esoteric Healing Focus Group
What is good health? It is when we are in harmony and balance with the Core of our nature. When we are in harmony with all that is within and around us, we can be truly healthy. We are healing ourselves when we strive toward perfection. Every human being has a Prototype, a blueprint of perfection within them. When a person goes against this blueprint, either on the physical plane, the emotional plane, or the mental plane, it causes dis-ease to begin manifesting, an imbalance. The imbalance is what we call disease and sickness. If any one of our bodies is out of balance, we will experience pains, sicknesses, and ailments. Most of the healing methods used to heal us are only superficial because the root of healing lies in our striving to regenerate, transmute, and transform all those aspects that are not in tune with the Core of our being. Real healing is perfecting the physical, emotional, and mental bodies, according to the Beauty of one’s Inner Self.
This past twelve months this focus group has been investigating and researching the books of the Teaching about nutrition and will share their findings as a result of putting their research into practice.
